IGSSE doctoral researchers participate in a training program that acknowledges disciplinary seminars, lectures, courses but also fosters internationalization and transferable skill, categorized in four modules
A. Subject-related Training
B. Scientific Skills Training
C. International Exchange
D. Transferable Skills Training
With the supervision agreement an individual training plan is drawn up by the doctoral researcher and his/her supervisor/mentor at the beginning of the individual project. The plan specifies the courses, seminars and exercises – including the international and industrial exchange – to be taken from each of the modules A to D. Adjustments to this agreement can be made at the semi-annual or annual status meetings of the doctoral researcher and his/ her supervisors and mentors.
The doctoral researchers may choose from a variety of courses offered by TUM, escpecially the TUM Graduate School training program, but also by other TUM training centers as well as national and international partner institutions.
