Curriculum

Supplementary to their research work, doctoral candidates participate in a program that comprises of courses, seminars and independent work in the following four focal areas:

A.    Subject-related Training
B.    Scientific Skills
C.    International & Industrial Exchange
D.    Soft Skills

Within the Doctoral supervision agreement an individual training plan is drawn up by the doctoral candidate and his/her supervisors/mentors at the beginning of the doctoral project. The plan specifies the courses, seminars and exercises – including the international and industrial exchange – to be taken from each of the modules A to D.

The doctoral candidate can choose from a variety of courses offered by TUM, its further education centers and by our national and international partner institutions.

Corrections to this plan can be made at the semi-annual or annual status meetings of the doctoral candidate and his/her mentors.
