New: TUM Campus Classes
For children of international staff
TUM offers for children of international staff who don`t speak German a new collaboration with the Werner Heisenberg Gymnasium in Garching. This project provides a smooth transition into the German school system for international pupils (scientifically conducted by the TUM School of Education, to start in the school year 2012/13).
Within the bilingual program the pupils will learn to gradually adapt to the German school system. The teaching language will slowly change from English into German.
In small classes with at most 15 students, attention to individual needs is ensured. Attending the Campus School Classes is free of charge. The program addresses children of international scientists and visiting scientists of the research institutions in Garching (TUM, Max Planck Society, Helmholtz Zentrum München, ESO). The students must be able to speak English and should be 10 to 15 years old. Entering the program is possible any time during the school year.
