‘Manage your career’, the 2017 annual meeting´s leitmotif, aimed at giving IGSSE´s doctoral researchers the opportunity to get first-hand insights into diverse career opportunities. Among the key note speakers and workshop instructors were Dr. Fridolin Stary (Head R&D, Wacker Chemie), Dr. Carlos Härtel (CTO & Chief Innovation Officer, GE Europe) and Dr. Markus Zanner (Chancellor University of Bayreuth). Several companies (e.g. Infineon, Evonik, Wacker, Dynamic Bionsensors, Kinexon) and research institutions (DFG, UAS7) presented career opportunities at the first-ever IGSSE career fair on Wednesday morning.

Find all program details in our IGSSE Forum 2017 booklet!

Thank you very much to doctoral representatives Saskia Steinl and Ben MacLarney who organized an exceptional evening of sports and fun!

Last but not least: Congratulations to Saskia and Ben on their re-election as doctoral representatives as well as Wolfgang Betz and Elisabeth Rosado Balmayor on their election as PTL representatives.

And, of course, for standing up for election once more. The IGSSE team looks forward to another year of fruitful cooperation with Saskia and Ben!

We have also been honoured that TUM a President Wolfgang A. Herrmann joined us for the festive dinner and presented IGSSE alumni with their certificates.
