Apply now: IGSSE travel grant for ICCE 2017

For those who want to join this year´s ICCE conference, IGSSE offers travel grants of 750 € (addtional grants may be taken from project funds). The confernce is organized by the  Graduate School of Computational Engineering (GSC CE) at TU Darmstadt, the Stuttgart Research Center for Simulation Technology (SimTech) and the Aachen Institute for Advanced Study in Computational Engineering Science (AICES) and is inteded for doctoral researchers, young scientists and practitioners working on computational methods in all disciplines of engineering and applied mathematics. The aim of the conference is to discuss the state of the art in this challenging field, develop promising perspectives for future research and initiate cooperations.  

Areas of interest include, but are not restricted to:

  • Multirate and multiscale methods
  • Optimal control
  • Discrete-continuous and global optimization
  • Uncertainty quantification
  • Computational algorithms
  • Discretization of PDE
  • Multiphase flows
  • Combustion
  • Multiphysics applications
  • Material modeling
  • Communication systems
  • Visualization and simulated reality
  • High-performance computing techniques
  • Verification and validation
  • Software engineering concepts
  • Cyber-physical systems
