The IGSSE is built upon Project Teams operating on cutting-edge science at the interface of science and engineering. Any IGSSE membership is closely linked to research and work within an IGSSE Project Team. Each Project Team has one or more

• Principal Investigator/s (the supervisor of the doctoral candidates and head of the group) from divergent TUM faculties or a foreign university,
• Project Team Leader/s (in charge of individual projects within the group),
• doctoral candidates, as well as the
• associate doctoral candidates and
• Master Students.
