CISM - International Center for Mechanical Studies
CISM is a non-profit organization supporting the exchange and application of the most advanced knowledge in the mechanical sciences, in interdisciplinary fields like robotics, biomechanics, environmental engineering and other fields (mathematics, information and system theory, operations research, computer science, artificial intelligence).
CISM offers high-profile courses for international doctoral candidates, IGSSE members may collect their credit points there.

Ferienakademie Sarntal
The Ferienakademie has offered a course program for highly talented students and doctoral candidates of TUM, FAU (Friedrich Alexander Universität Erlangen-Nuremberg) and the University of Stuttgart since 1984. The courses are held at diverse inns in the Sarntal/ South Tyrol area and give great insights into new scientific developlements. Last but not least, attending a seminar of the Ferienakademie is a superb opportunity to build valuable academic and personal networks.
